The Workshop

Before You Book 

• Patrons must attend an orientation before using our studios and certain makerspace equipment. 
• For a class or other large groups, you can schedule an orientation through our Instruction Session Request Form.
• The Health Sciences Library makerspace also has studios and makerspace equipment available for reservations and offers orientations. 

Booking Limits

• You can reserve up to 3 sessions per week, each up to 3 hours, across all studios and makerspace equipment for a total of 9 hours per week. Overnight 3D printing slots do not count towards this limit. 
• Need more time for a class assignment or research project? We can make exceptions for academic purposes; please fill out our Project Exceptions Request form.

When You Arrive

• Check in at The Workshop's main service desk or makerspace service desk. 
• Reservations not claimed within 15 minutes may be released to other patrons.

3D Printing Options

• For projects that need more than 3 hours, overnight 3D printing is available through the Overnight Reservation Calendar. 
• If you have a class assignment or research project that requires the use of non-PLA filament, please fill out our Project Exceptions Request form.
