October is Health Literacy Month! What exactly is health literacy? The VCU Health and Wellness Library, Nursing Professional Development Specialist Jamie Cosby, MSN, RN, CPN, and Nurse Educator Sharon Everette, MSN., RN, NPD-BC, are teaming up to teach you all about it! For our second talk in our series of Health Literacy Mini-Workshops, we will discuss the methods health care providers can use to help patients understand their condition and make more informed decisions regarding their health. Now more than ever, it is important to take care of ourselves and others– the first step is knowing how.
