Scholars need to publish in order to share their research results, making them targets for predatory publishing scams. Predatory publishers charge author fees like some legitimate publishers do, but unlike legitimate publishers, they do not provide peer review or quality publishing services. Graduate students and new faculty are favorite targets of predatory publishers. To help new scholars avoid scams and get published in reputable journals and monographs, this webinar will help attendees spot and avoid publishing scams.

Join us for a webinar to learn how to

  • Identify common types and techniques of scholarly predators
  • Apply strategies to recognize and avoid predatory publishing scams

A recording will be available after the session.
