Learn the basics of using Embase, which is one of the largest databases for biomedical research articles.  In the course of the workshop, participants will understand the purpose and coverage of each database.  Attendees will also learn about the basic features of each database and how to do an effective in each.  

At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Describe what topics and/or disciplines are covered in the database  
  • Understand how to access Embase through VCU libraries
  • Perform a good keyword simple search in Embase
  • Connect to VCU Libraries holding to obtain full text of articles
