Web of Science is a great database of academic literature and so much more. Web of Science contains tools to help you find the top journals, authors, and papers in your field. You can also see how your papers and publication history stack up compared to others in your discipline. During this session, we provide demonstrations and opportunities to explore the following tools accessed in Web of Science:

  • Journal Citation Reports contains citation data, impact and influence metrics for more than 11,00 journals in 234 disciplines.
  • Essential Science Indicators (ESI) provides information about the top papers in each research field. ESI also allows you to see a ranking of authors, institutions, journals, and countries within each discipline.
  • The “citation reports” feature in Web of Science creates profiles of researchers that provide statistics about citations, including the h-index.

Registration is required. After registering participants will receive the class URL via email 3 days before the webinar.
