Beginning Aug. 31, 2018, VCU Libraries will no longer support the RefWorks platform. This online workshop will help you discover new citation management options and determine which one will best suit your research and documentation needs. This session will provide a brief overview of tools including Mendeley, Zotero, and EndNote, and highlight the key features of each, including how to transfer your files from RefWorks and download new citations from databases and the Web.

By the end of this session, students will be able to:

  • Differentiate between the three tools discussed: Mendeley, Zotero, and EndNote
  • Set up an account and download the desktop applications
  • Prepare files in RefWorks to transfer to a new reference manager
  • Identify the liaison librarian who will specialize in the platform of their choice

Registration is required. After registering participants will receive the class URL via email 3 days before the webinar.
