Research Poster Design using Adobe Express
Event box
In partnership with VCU Libraries - The Workshop, LEDstudio, and the Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Inquiry
Whether you’re preparing for a symposium, conference, or class presentation, this workshop introduces practical design strategies you can use when creating research posters. Undergraduate researchers will learn how to utilize Adobe Express, a approachable tool for beginners and available to VCU students. This session will cover the basics around layout, typography, color palettes, and effective use of images. Participants will explore how to make posters easy (or difficult) to read and consider accessibility practices such as font size, contrast, and other forms of inclusive visual communication.
We’ll also cover practical steps for preparing your file for large-format printing, including sizing, image resolution, exporting, and final file checks. Whether you’re new to design or looking to refine your visual communication skills, this session will help you translate your research into a polished and professional poster.
No prior design experience required.
