Rare Disease Month Speaker Series: What Patients with Rare Diseases Need to Know Online

Although having a rare disease is, by definition, uncommon, almost everyone is or will be touched by a rare disease. Everyone with a rare disease has a unique story, yet there are feelings and barriers that these people and their families share. Using examples of hereditary cancer conditions, genetic counselor John Quillin, PhD, MPH, MS, will teach participants about these feelings and barriers and, more importantly, how to empower yourself, your family, and others with strategies to address these barriers.

Join Dr. Quillin on Zoom, Feb 5 at noon as a part of the Health and Wellness Library's continuing Rare Disease Month Speaker Series to learn more about how to navigate rare diseases. Check out our future programs here.

This program is free and open to all. Registration is required. Registrants will receive a Zoom link to the program on the day of the event.
