In this hour-long workshop learn essential skills to create professional poster templates. Gain resources and guidelines on formatting, citations, titles, body text, graphics and more. From setting up grids to mastering character and paragraph styles, dive deep into InDesign's features and tools. Culminating in the creation of a poster template file.
Objectives:
Upon completion of this workshop attendees will be able to:
- Learn where to find VCU/AMA Guidelines online
- Learn how to set Character and Paragraph styles in Indesign
- Learn Image size and file requirements to avoid low quality prints
- Learn how to create Master Pages and Grids in Indesign
- Learn how to insert special characters (such as page numbers or footnotes)
- Learn about Kerning, Leading, and Tracking, Hyphenating and Orphans,
and other Typographic Terminology - Learn how to set bounding boxes for images, and how to place assets
