Nehru V Sankaranarayanan, Ph.D.

Attendees will be introduced to molecular docking technology and will have an opportunity to work on a case study. Open source computational tools that can be used to study the interactions of protein-ligand complexes will be highlighted. Participants are required to bring a laptop to this talk. Loaner laptops are available in a limited quantity and may be requested by emailing gaukh@vcu.edu prior to the event.

Please download UCSF Chimera and Scripps’ AutoDock Vina to your laptop prior to class. We recommend using a personal laptop since you may experience permission issues with downloading Vina if you are using a VCU-provided laptop. Dr. Sankaranarayanan and Dr. Nagarajan will also be available to assist you 15 minutes before class with your download.

This talk will take place at the Tompkins-McCaw Library for the Health Sciences, which is downtown on the MCV campus.
